Situated on one of the state's most scenic tourist routes (route 251) in the stunningly beautiful Blackwood River Valley, Tathra is ideally situated to explore the surrounding region.

Drive around the 'Magic Triangle' of the towns that make up the Blackwood River Valley, Nannup, Balingup and Bridgetown, the drive will reward you with a breathtaking vista with every turn of the road.

Try a spot of  Trout fishing, or Marroning (in season). Canoeing, mountain bike hire, wildflower trails, horse riding, heritage trails, swimming, bush walking.

August in Nannup is the month for the tulips and daffodils, not to be missed, and the long weekend in March is Music Festival time.

Tathra is 14kms from Nannup. Wander around this picturesque little town and enjoy the
craft shops, galleries, and eateries.

So whether you want to stop the world and hide away in peace and solitude - or base yourself at Tathra and explore this exiting region, the choice is yours, it's all here.
